I am an Artist living and working in Lincolnshire
I taught for many years in schools and College and since retiring I have been able to devote more time to my own work. My studio is a small ex-Methodist chapel in Welton, six miles North of Lincoln. I also hold workshops and adult classes there as well as painting. A real highlight these last few years has been teaching watercolour painting on cruise ships.
My inspiration is usually the natural world: the big skies and arable fields of Lincolnshire, the hills of my native Lancashire, and exciting new experiences travelling abroad.
I work in sketchbooks and use a camera to collect information. The final pieces tend to be developed in oils, acrylic or mixed media. I also return quite regularly to Lincoln Cathedral for inspiration.Visitors to my studio are welcome-please just phone ahead.
